This
is a drawing taken from a clay figurine of a gladiator. These gladiator
figurines were quite common as a sort of souvenir. I find the sword this
gladiator carries particularly interesting: it's like an arm and hand! Note the
strapped arm and small shield. This gladiator wears shin-guards too.
