The village provides all amenities, shops and restaurants, etc. as well as the provincial railway with trains going into the centre of Rome.
Although seemingly set in a world of its own, the location is excellent not only for visiting the city of Rome, but also for trips to volcanic Lake Bracciano and the historical villas and gardens near Viterbo as well as Hadrian’s villa at Tivoli, to name just a few.
Very easy access to the main A1 motorway makes day trips to Florence, Assisi, Perugia and other Tuscan & Umbrian towns an appealing project. The Mediterranean sea & Pompeii and many many other sites provide an almost endless choice...
A car is necessary There are train and bus services into Rome but the car is required to drive the short distance to Sant'Oreste village. You can quite easily rush back for that last evening swim in the pool after a hot day touring the antiquities.
