Self catering, hotels, b&b, apartments, general accommodation and flats in Paris
Boulevard de Clichy is full of restaurants, theatres, cinemas and nightclubs. One of Paris' main centres of fun and nightlife!
You
may recognise this poster. It dates back to the last century and publicises the
cabaret "Le Chat Noire" on Rue Victor Masse (it is no longer there
now). The cabaret and this one
in particular, was particularly attractive to many artists and poets. I read
that you may now find it at no 84 Boulevard de Rochechouart. The former
Belle-en-Cuisses cabaret may also be found on this street at no 118. I have
never been to visit but will make a point of it next time round!.
The Funicular railway to the top of the hill (place Willette in front of Sacre Coeur)
The Moulin Rouge - cabaret show near Place Pigalle.
The Erotic Museum ("Musée de l'Art Erotique" sounds so much more acceptable!). Could be interpreted as being quite tasteful and artistic but in any case not appropriate for children (I doubt they would let them in in any case). The "piece" I remember the most was a table football game with naked miniature players. Bizarre but enlightening.
Musée de Montmartre at no 12 Rue Cortot, where Renoir and Suzanne Valadon painted, offers a great deal in mementoes of the Bohemian days.
