Etruscan Tomb of Hunting and Fishing at Tarquinia

This tomb painting is particularly significant because of its manipulation of scale and the lively sense of motion. The importance of the wildlife is enhanced by the scale at which the birds (ducks?) are portrayed. It is also interesting to note how the man at the prow of the boat is using something similar to a fishing line or small net.
